Hunter Plastics Inc. was incorporated in September 1999 by Ron Perkins. In 1993 Ron began his career in the plastics industry when he started working for a well known plastics machinery remanufacturer in Massachusetts where he learned molding machinery inside and out. Back then the major brands of molding machine manufacturers were machines like: Cincinnati, Van Dorn, Impco, Farrel, Reed, New Britian, Newbury, HPM, Battenfeld, Klockner Windser, Fellows, Leister, Toshiba, MIR, Demag, Shinwa Seiki, HUSKY, Ferromatic, Engel, Arburg, Autojector, Improved, Kawaguchi, JSW, Niigata, Beloit, Natco, Deacon, Morgan, Nissei, Netstal, Trueblood, Trubor, Lombard.

After 5 years of remanufacturing machinery, representing a new brand of molding machine and selling new parts such as screws, barrels, tie bars, nuts, pin and bushing kits etc, Ron saw a demand for used machinery and decided to start his own business buying, selling and brokering used plastics machinery and auxiliary equipment.

At Hunter Plastics Ron has built a team that has evaluated, reconditioned, tested, shipped and supported literally thousands of machines over the past 22+ years and counting.
